A native Chicagoan, Dan spent most of his professional life in the city designing and creating educational books and working in web development for publisher Pearson Scott Foresman. Pursuing his career in electronic media, he moved on to Walgreens’ corporate division where he joined the team that produced the company’s e-commerce website with a focus on customer service and quality assurance.
In his effort to take breaks from city life and breathe some fresh air in more natural settings, Dan discovered the beautiful Driftless area of Wisconsin when searching for places to camp and paddle. What began as long weekend retreats and vacations over a 20-year span turned into a part-time, then full-time home when he moved north to the Coulee Region permanently.
If you can't find him at WKBT, he’s out kayaking the backwaters, hiking one of the excellent local trails, or taking a walk with his pit bull, Pete—although, sometimes it’s hard to tell who’s walking who.
